Morning Goings On

I’m sitting outside in my rocking lawn chair, enjoying my morning coffee.

I hear a woodpecker knocking on a tree somewhere close, but I can’t see him.

Two small rabbits hop by in the grass and stop to chew on some of it, but soon they scamper off when a large robin lands nearby.

He pokes the ground looking for earthworms but they are too quick for him and he flies away.

Walnuts drop steadily from the tree in the neighboring campsite while a squirrel sits on a limb, scraping off the green husk and dropping pieces to the ground below.

My choice to live a nomad lifestyle in a camper is confirmed as another day begins.
