Up In A Tree
By Julia A. Keirns

I saw a bird up in a tree
In a nest on eggs of three.
Blue the eggs were in the nest
Upon the bird did sit and rest.
And when the eggs did break apart
Three baby birds their lives did start.
Till someday they their own will be
Sitting on their eggs of three.
For life goes round and round you see
For even birds up in a tree.

Storybird review – This is a great poem! I like the story in it and the language is very well done. The inverted sentences is an interesting choice and potentially a bit confusing at times. Well done on this poem. Reviewed by RachelPaige
